Driver vision
Awareness when driving closed-hatch.

Rheinmetall Electronics UK · Trailblazer
System profile
The Trailblazer driver vision enhancer from Rheinmetall Electronics UK extends vision beyond the daylight spectrum through CMOS/LWIR image fusion. This supports the driver and crew in poor weather and restricted lighting and visibility conditions.
Low latency supports terrain recognition, obstacle avoidance and route selection. Independent wide-angle viewing channels provide the crew and commander with surveillance and threat detection capabilities.

Integration into vehicle architectures
The system is designed for closed-hatch driving in armoured wheeled and tracked vehicles where the direct field of view is restricted. Separate forward and rear units support vision in both directions of travel.
The compact design facilitates integration into new and existing vehicle platforms. The GVA-compliant system supports digital video interfaces including HD-SDI (SMPTE 296M) and DEF STAN 00-082. The specific connection is selected to suit the vehicle architecture.
